DC dribs and and drabs

by Mark Pierce

  • Colts General Manager Bill Polian said on a conference call Robert Griffin III is an athlete of a kind ” we’ve never seen before. ” Actually, he called him a ” threat”. He meant offensively. You know, with the ball.
  • Last season’s early season number one running back Tim Hightower paid a visit to the New England Patriots today. Coach Shanahan expressed at the owners meeting in March a desire to keep the DMV product. Hightower was a Richmond Spider during his college career.  Go Spiders.
  •  The NFL asked arbitrator Stephen Burbank to dismiss the case against it by the Redskins and the Cowboys. It is unclear as to when he will rule on the case. A hearing is scheduled for May 10th.
  • The start of the Redskins off-season conditioning program also marked a new beginning for second year player Niles Paul. Coach Shanahan phoned Paul during the off-season and asked him how he felt about a move to tight end.  Paul replied that he would ” play wherever you want me”.  Music to fans ears.

About ImproperRedskin

I grew up watching the Redskins with my dad. I feel I've always been a part of Redskins Nation. I'm so excited about the direction the team is taking now. I feel somewhat exiled in terms of the skins living in Boston, even though I know there are other fans here. That's pretty much why I started doing this, to touch base with other Redskins fans across the country. There's always something to talk about with the Redskins, isn't there? I want to hear your voice.
