Fun and games on day one OTA’s

By Mark Pierce

There’s excitement in the air at Redskins park today, where the team got off to an excellent start in OTA’s. Light rain was coming down at practice time, so practice was held in the bubble. Several key players were made available to press following practice. Coach Shanahan was not available however, following an accidental run in with CB Brandyn Thompson and WR Pierre Garcon. Both players were running full speed, knocking Shanhan momentarily to the ground. He reported feeling a ” little woozy ” after the hit, and so was held out of the post practice presser.

According to linebacker Londion Fletcher, who says that trading up to obtain RGIII factored in his decision to remain with the team, “you can see the maturity … The approach of naming him the starter right away was the right thing”. Fletcher continued to add that having Jarvis Jenkins back in the lineup ” was like getting another draft choice. ”

Apparently Griffin wears a glove on his left hand while playing. When asked about the glove today, Griffin responded that he had been a ” huge Michael Jackson fan growing up.” When quizzed on the Shanhan collision, RG repied ” He showing some toughness. That’s a hallmark of our team.” Great stuff.

About ImproperRedskin

I grew up watching the Redskins with my dad. I feel I've always been a part of Redskins Nation. I'm so excited about the direction the team is taking now. I feel somewhat exiled in terms of the skins living in Boston, even though I know there are other fans here. That's pretty much why I started doing this, to touch base with other Redskins fans across the country. There's always something to talk about with the Redskins, isn't there? I want to hear your voice.
