Team announces training camp schedule

By Mark Pierce

The Washington Redskins have announced the official dates and times for the 2012 season training camp. Training will commence on July 26 and continue through August 14. Players report to camp on July 25. The first pre-season game is slated for Thursday August 9, at Buffalo.

The team said a total of 13 practices will be open to the public, with the majority of the sessions consisting of afternoon practices commencing at 255 PM.  Fan Appreciation Day will be held on August 4th, at noon.  The schedule for practices which fans may attend is here

Those fans wishing to attend Fan Appreciation day are asked again this year to go to Redskins.com to print the team’s official invitation, which serves as a ticket to the event. The cynic in me says that they want to drive fans to the website to increase t shirt sales, and while that’s probably true, I choose to ignore it.

About ImproperRedskin

I grew up watching the Redskins with my dad. I feel I've always been a part of Redskins Nation. I'm so excited about the direction the team is taking now. I feel somewhat exiled in terms of the skins living in Boston, even though I know there are other fans here. That's pretty much why I started doing this, to touch base with other Redskins fans across the country. There's always something to talk about with the Redskins, isn't there? I want to hear your voice.
